Thrifting can be a daunting task to accomplish knowing it requires the holy trifecta of time, patience, and luck that many of us don't possess. Yet here we are trying our darnedest to shift into an age of shopping that proves ethical on all accounts and a more prominent desire for one-of-a-kind pieces in our wardrobes. What to do... Oh, that's right! I'm here with the answer.

Previously, I highlighted a number of sustainable brands that were on the steep side, with the inclusion of online consignment options like The Real Real and Depop in between. As someone who is pressed for pennies but fashion-hungry myself, I've thankfully since then found more ways to keep conscious about my purchases while keeping them chic and shoppable from the comfort on my bed.

Without further ado, I bestow upon you all my favorite online vintage and consignment shops!

SORORITÉ VINTAGE

Responsible for the rebirth of my corset obsession is this sweet shop that does weekly drops of all things lingerie, oversized blazers, and repurposed jewelry. Everything nearly sells out within the first ten minutes so have your wallets out and ready for whatever they've listed as their designated shopping time. $$-$$$

A small but solid inventory of quality vintage sweaters, outerwear, and occasional accessories grace the front page of what I deem the site with the cutest name possible. $$

For the party girl's next night out or swimwear needs for your next vacay, the Miami-based brand is sure to be at the top of the list for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. (They have uber generous sale prices to boot!) $$

The friendliest and most inclusive cool-girl vintage shop in Brooklyn packs in some positively dope daily picks via their Instagram stories with aesthetics and prices that simply cannot be beaten. Their size range is also one of the best among online options. $$

Lucia has one of the most pleasing to the eye Instagram pages of all time. Her designer apparel and dainty and eclectic array of jewelry and belts are pricey but worth a once in a blue moon splurge. The photography and journal add a uniquely sweet touch to the site too, so check those out while you browse. $$$

The outfit of the day feed you know would garner hundreds upon thousands of followers but is seemingly impossible to achieve is exactly what Deux Birds totes in their shop. Were items tailored that much more appealing in the 80s/90s? Yes, I believe so. This arrangement of knits and outerwear just further proves that theory. $$-$$$

Everything under the sun for the cleanest, most polished closet of your life is available in the vintage section of Na Nin. I have two items in my cart as I type this. The way they select and name colors on their site... compliments to the chef. One of the kinder priced options out there as a cherry on top. $$

When looking for consignment designer or random bits and bobs like I don't know... early '00s Nana anime collectible strawberry glasses (yes, that's something I searched and found) Mercari has that and more. You can easily get sucked into a vortex here, so it may be best to stick to the search bar and the wonderful filters to adapt to your purchase desires. $-$$$$

Tradesy is the mature older sister to Mercari with no time for kitschy knick-knacks and gets straight to business on well-priced designer goodies. $$-$$$$

The refined step-mother of Mercari and Tradesy is an international luxury goods consignment that has a strong range of pricing and goes as far as to sell some housewares and art. $$-$$$$

NOTE: Sizing is listed for individual items in specified measurements along with the condition for customer transparency on every shop listed. Happy browsing!

  1. I'm glad you highlighted Sororité - I also drool away far too much of my free time looking at the fabulous offerings. Pricey though. Thrifting is fun but hard work, but there are many chic online vintage shops that don't cost the earth that are worth seeking out. Now I've mentioned Sororité Vintage I'll have to go there now. Damn!
